About the Castle Chamber Players

Whether in the spotlight or as background music, we will transform your event into a memorable experience.

We work with our clients to make sure they are 100% happy which is why we have been in business for over 15 years performing for weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, fundraisers, art museums, photo expositions and parties of all kinds!

We offer a variety of string ensembles (trios, quartets),  and jazz groups.  Let us know if you have something else in mind as our network of working musicians have experience with many different styles and genres of music from all over the globe. Steven Uh is the lead musician and co-founder of the Castle Chamber Players. A classically trained violinist and self taught guitarist, Steve brings a wide range of musical experience, from performing in a symphony orchestra with violin virtuoso Itzhak Perlman, to jamming onstage with Phish’s Paige McConnell.

He has toured and performed with orchestras and festivals in Europe and the United States and has performed under the batons of distinguished conductors such as Alan Gilbert (NY Philharmonic), Christopher Keene (NY City Opera, LI Philharmonic) and Eiji Oue (Barcelona, Minnesota Symphony).

Steven has served as conductor with the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra (MYO) and currently teaches in Nassau County, Long Island. Steven is an active freelance musician and can be found performing  with various groups of many different genres.
